The Digital Library Program at La Salle University's Connelly
Library was founded in 2007 as a way to promote the library's Special Collections and
the university's projects through a centralized digital repository. Digital library
software was developed by DL Consulting using the Greenstone platform. Images and textual
materials are scanned as high resolution TIFF files and then converted to web quality
JPEGs. Materials are cataloged using the MODS metadata standard.

“I have had nothing but a positive experience working with the
talented programmers at DL Consulting. They are highly professional and responsive, and work
hard to create a product that we can be proud of, both us and them. I have really felt as if
they have listened to what our needs are, and, in many cases, improved upon what our vision
for digital libraries at La Salle has been. I highly recommend their work.”
